| Highly refined molybdenum chemicals are hydrogen reduced to molybdenum powder, having a purity of 99.9% minimum. The powder is isostatically pressed and sintered into slabs of a uniform fine grained structure. The slabs are worked first by hot rolling and then by cold rolling to the thickness specified. Plate ( defined as flat stock with a thickness above 3mm ) is finished by grit blasting and stress relieving. Sheet ( having a thickness up to 3mm ) is generally finished by degreasing and stress relieving.
Molybdenum sheet is processed to obtain maximum ductility for applications involving bending, spinning, drawing or stamping. If the customer designates their specific application, we can supply the best material suited for their use

| Molybdenum sheet or plate is inspected on a flat plate in accordance with ASTM B386-62t. All sheet or plate over 0.5mm thick will exhibit a maximum flatness of 4% and under 0.5mm thick being 5%.
This is defined as:
H / L x 100 = flatness, percent.
Where: H = Maximum vertical distance between a flat reference surface and the lower surface of the sheet or plate
L = Minimum horizontal distance between the highest point of the sheet or plate and the point of contact with the flat reference surface.

| Molybdenum sheet is available in thicknesses from 0.1mm to 4.75mm and the plate in thicknesses from 4.8mm to 38mm. Sheet and plate are supplied in either specific lengths or 250mm minimum random lengths. All plate and sheet are supplied in specific widths. |
| Sheet above 2.3mm thick and all plate are normally finished with a clean carbide free matt surface. Sheet 2.3mm thick and below are furnished with a clean bright surface. |

| Sheet and plate are free of internal and external imperfections such as seams, cracks, surface checks, scale, inclusions and laminations. |
